Waffle Flower Challenge October/November 2014

Popping in real quick to post a tag I made using my Waffle Flower Craft Die Flower Circles Die Set for the OCT/NOV challenge.  Laura Bassen used the die to create a tag here, which helped me think outside the "card" box:)
Here is my tag take for the challenge:

Watercolor Bulbs...Wplus9 Style

Hello!
Have you seen the video  Dawn Woleslagle from WPlus9 made showing how to watercolor Christmas bulbs? Here it is if you missed it.
Dawn makes watercoloring look easy..especially if you start with a stamped outline image.

I gave it a go and doodled on most of them...:)
Feelin' a bit Where's Waldo-ish...

This one I left plain....
Making several at one time was easy because of the dry time between each step.
I REALLY enjoyed the whole process!
Thanks Dawn for the Amazing Tutorial!!

These babies are ready to be sent to the Caring Hearts Card Drive 2014.  There's one week left to get your cards finished and in the mail!

Here's my card.

I used OMBRE Backgrounds, Freshly Fallen and Wonderful Words: SNOW stamp set and Die..all from Papertrey Ink:)

PTI Inks: Spring rain, Blueberry Sky, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores

Ranger LIQUID PLATINUM embossing powder.

How about you...READY for some SNOW??

Or just create some with OMBRE!

CASEing Michelle...CASEing Laura B.

Hello gentle readers and Happy card makers!
For today's card I CASEd Michelle Lupton's card from this post, which happened to be a card she was CASEing of  Laura Bassen's  from the Online Holiday Card Class 2014.
I LOVE the masked box area and then the over the edge stamping of the sentiment.

Here is my CASE:

I chose to have several of the stamps hang over the edge of the inked box instead of the sentiment. The whole process was so much fun I made several versions and will be sending them off to the Caring Hearts Card Drive 2014

I will also be linking up to Virginia's View Challenge # 9 as I stamped and embossed the WARM WINTER WISHES in Delicata Golden Glitz:)

The Card Concept Challenge #23: Krafty Christmas

Hello!
Today starts a new challenge at The Card Concept.
Challenge#23 is Krafty Christmas.

This was truly a challenge for me due to the inspiration photo being so CAS and on Kraft. Two very challenging elements for me personally!

Here is what I came up with for the Freestyle Collage category..

I used Unicorn White Pigment ink for the Birch trees and deer on Nennah Desert Storm Kraft paper.
Then I carefully restamped the deer with Antique Linen Distress Ink to give them a bit of a shadow.
A few heat embossed sentiments and Snowflakes on vellum elements create a nice collage in the corner along with some pops of Christmas red and green. Some added Tiny Snowflakes Stamped in the same Unicorn White give the allusion of a real snowfall:)

Stamp and Die Supplies : Wplus9 and PTI

Hope you're feel'n KRAFTY and Join in on the fun at The Card Concept.

Virginia's View Challenge # 9

Good Monday to ya!
One of my favorite card makers is Virginia Lu from Yes, Virginia.  Her work is over the top inspiring and I LOVE her sweet and playful attitude. So of course I also Adore joining in the fun at Virginia's View challenges.

This Month's challenge is All thing Metallic

Here is my card for the challenge:

I used Lisa's Painted Maple Leaf  from Hero Arts. Inked it up in Distress Picked Raspberry, Barn Door, and Spiced Marmalade then kissed it with Tarnished Brass Distress Stain and Spritzed with water.  It simply dances across the paper as if caught in the brisk autumn wind!
Recently, I have been GAGA over Heidi Swapp's Gold Color Shine which splatters nicely. I think it adds the perfect metallic Shimmer to any card.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts Wood block C5592 and Cherish CL314 .

While I had the stamps and inks out, I made a few single prints as well.  Lisa's Leaf  is able to stand alone in all it's beauty!
