Muse: ChristmasVisions 12: Marika Rahtu

I simply could not miss playing at the Muse: ChristmasVisions 12 this week, as the MUSE is the ever so delightful MARIKA RAHTU!  You all know how influential her coloring videos have been for me:)  It was a pleasure to get some of my Purple Onion Stamps out and create a scene in the corner:)
Here is my card:

The MUSE card from Marika

I chose to stick to the colors Marika used in her card however, I used my Disstress markers.

After coloring the images I added a few stars from
Waffle Flower Holiday Labels: Merry stamp set.

My youngest son, Mark, wanted to play along:)
Here is his card: He enjoyed making a stack of gifts like Marika did!

Thanks for stopping by
LauraJane:)

YAY! Thanks for the votes:)))

I love that you craft together! Being from Toronto, I am partial to Mark's Blue Jays! lol! He's got a great sense of balance and style! And so do you - you've captured the whimsy of Marika's original perfectly! So glad you both joined us at MCV this week!

Oh my goodness, you have done a wonderful job with your distress markers and blending! That Marika influences crafters in the best way, don't you think? Your choice of colors and the blending looks fantastic. And your crafting buddy did an awesome job on his piece, too! Thanks so much for sharing!

LauraJane! Firstly, so glad to see your son's take! So good to know that you craft together and please, please give my warmest greetings to him! Amazing CASE! Secondly, if I am so lucky to get a Christmas card from you, may it be this one? I love it in every detail. I love the soft colouring, love the light and neutral colour theme and the branches.. Guess how many times have I turned those around and around and try to do what you did brilliantly!! Brilliant card! Thank you!
