Confetti Garlands :Make It Monday #199

Playing along with the gals at PTI MIM #199 Confetti Garlands today. It was really quite easy, simply string some pretties and drape it on the card:)  I think it creates a fun interactive element!

I had some INVISIBLE Thread on hand that makes the heart confetti seem as if it were floating across the card.

Thanks for looking!
Stay cozy!

Good Friday evening to ya!
Ever have one of those moments where several  different inspirations come together and BAM!! you have a creation?
I just had a BAM! moment:)
*Color challenge over at Waffle Flower
*Waffle Flower had this [Watch It Wednesday] were Sabrina is stamping out the letters L-O-V-E using tiny stamps. with a heart for O....Great right?
*Then I see this pin,.. again I see L-O-V-E...with a flower for O this time.

COLOR
L-O-V-E
FLOWER
BAM!!
Here's my card:)

It came together very easily with a mask of the letters. Stamping with tiny flowers over the mask and then doodling with a black pen.
Framed with LF Stitched Rectangles die.

Stamps from Waffle Flower:

AWESOME!!!

Here is my card for the Challenge.

I played around with some of the newly released sets:
As well as the Perfect Word Die.

Here is the  inpiration Photo for the challenge:

Have you seen the Flower Circles Die Set?  I used it herehere and here..It is One of my faves to play with:) It works SUPER as a Stencil!
And because I could not resist, I made a more masculine card using the circles from the set. The sentiment is from In Every Way.

Hope you have time to run by Waffle Flower and see all the amazing cards from the DT gals!

Better yet, PLAY along:)

STAMPlorations and Time Out Challenge

So HAPPY together!!
This coming week, STAMPlorations will be the sponsor over at Time Out Challenges. The theme is Valentine's Day with the optional twist of Hearts. There will be 2 prizes: a $15 gift certificate (randomly chosen from all TO entries) and a stencil pack ($10 value; randomly chosen by Sandie/Nonni from comments left on the STAMPlorations blog).

STENCILS!  STENCILS!  STENCILS!
Gotta love 'em:)

Playing around with various pattern papers, I inked the Swirls in Golden GLITZ. Then stamped the butterflies on tissue paper, fussy cut them out and adhered them to the card with Aleene's Tacky Glue stick.  Did some simple stitching.
Then stenciled the falling hearts with home-made texture paste.
You can find the recipe here.

The Card Concept Challenge #27

LOVE and HUGS!!
That's what I saw in the inspiration photo for The Card Concept Challenge #27.
Once again the colors are soft and feminine! And OMBRE goodness:)  I added some extra frill on my card.
I had a panel with some stenciled embossing paste lying around so I inked on some distress to reveal the glorious texture! On a separate piece of paper I created an ombre panel then die-cut the HUGS and stringed hearts. Added a frilly frame and a shabby flower, layered it all atop a panel of embossed paper from BASICGREY.

My card is FREESTYLE/COLLAGE

I did cut a layer of HUGS from chipboard to get some dimension under the colored HUGS.

Hope you are inspired to play along at The Card Concept!

January Waffle Flower Challenge

Did you know WAFFLE FLOWER has a color Challenge every two weeks? They do.. and it would be Great to see more card makers join in on the fun:)
Here is my entry for the month of January. It's kind of a masculine card.

I built the sentiment from two sets...LOVED and IN EVERY WAY ...I really appreciate when sets work with each other! The FLOWER CIRCLES DIE SET was used as a stencil again:)
Oh I also used PATTERN PLAY for the background...Can't play enough with that set:)

The inspiration photo was:

I think I'm a bit off with the red hue...think it's the COLOR of the YEAR: MARSALA.
Got to work on that some more.

The Card Concept One Year Anniversary Celebration!

This month marks the One year Anniversary for The Card Concept Challenge!
Congratulations to Lesley Croghan Challenge Creator & Designer as well as Tracey McNeely Challenge Manager and Clean & Simple Designer for a year full of remarkable challenges!
It has been my pleasure to be part of the Design Team for the past 5 months, joining several remarkably inspiring cardmakers.
Challenge #26 photo is full of Gorgeous color and pattern...focusing on Shabby Chic style. Andrea Ewen is guest designing with us in that category for the month of January.

I was inspired by the sweet  pinstripes and nosegay. Here is my card for Freestyle/Collage.

An ATC size ART Square from inchie arts, llc takes center stage...which adds the perfect dimension!

Baby's Breath from wplus9 tiny stamp
Wplus9's Pretty Peonies and Pretty Little Peonies make up the bouquet..some tiny stamps in both sets make perfect Baby's Breath when embossed in White and Pearl!
I also used SSS Diagonal Stripe Stencil and Spellbinders Venetian Motifs. The inks are PTI Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet and Limeade Ice. Distress Shabby Shutters and Brilliance Pearlescent Coral...LOVE the shimmer in this one:)

Hope you are inspired to play along!
Remember all styles of cards are welcome and encouraged in the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
