I LOVE this BEAR!

Hello!
Recently I received a GC from The TON STAMPS and the HONEY BEARS set designed by MAYLINE is one of the sets that ended up in my cart..
I LOVE THIS BEAR:)))
Isn't he CUTE holding a painted poppy?

I used the ZIG Kuretake - Gansai Tambi Watercolors for the flowers.

Earlier this month I received a bundle of goodies from Stephanie Ryan  @PetalandLight on Instagram... You can find her blog of the same name here.
Here are the goodies she sent!

Stephanie's flowers inspired these blooms:)

Have a SUPER day:))
Hugs,
LauraJane:)

The Card Concept #47

There is a new challenge at The Card Concept!
I enjoyed playing with a stamp set from Altenew designed by May Park called Oriental Orchid.
Chocolaty Neutrals are the color scheme for this challenge..which was a  a bit of a stretch for me:
Using watercolor paper from Tim Holtz, I started out by stamping
the different layers of the orchid and stems with these inks:
Then I added the background and details with these ZIGGY markers
to create a Freestyle Collage feel to this one layer card.
The TEXT and MUSIC are stamps from Penny Black FOOTNOTES.

Here is the inspiration photo for the Challenge:
I was inspired by the vines and white petals on the cake.

Be sure to stop by and check out the other cards from the DT!

My first video...26 seconds:)

Hello! HAPPY Monday!
Today I wanted to share a video I made using some MINI stamp sets from Altenew that hopped into my cart after winning a GC from @altenewllc on Instagram.
Here is the #happymail that came a few days after ordering:

I employed the help of my 14 year old son to set up, record and edit the video for me..
(one of the many blessings to be homeschooling, I made it an assignment;)
We had fun working on it together..I would NEVER be able to work that video editing software without him. THANKS BEN!
The PEACH TREE, PEAR TREE and SNOWING sets were used for the video.

The first one is 26 seconds long...time is the essence:)
I know, it has an abrupt ending! We will learn:)
Then we pared it down to 15 seconds for the challenge.

Just simple layered stamping here.
The sets are SUPER easy to line up thanks to the color reference on the back of each set.

Here is the final card completed.

Well, THANKS for stopping by, Hope you enjoyed the videos!
Have a BLESSED day:)
LauraJane:)

Hello Baby

Happy Wednesday:)
Today I have a Baby Card made for a family that recently had their first GIRL.
The sketch and photo at the Fusion card challenge helped as a starting point.

The Retro Circles paper is made from the STAMPlorations stencil.
  • I placed the stencil on white paper then added versamark and heat embossed the circles in White.
  • Next, I taped the cardstock to the work surface and brushed clear clean water to the entire thing.
  •  Picked Raspberries and Shaded Lilac distress ink smooshed  onto the wet paper created an easy ombre  .
  • I used the Asti Butterfly Wings from Memory box to pop up from the card base.
  • PP from Jillibean Soup and Crate Paper
  • BABY die from PTI
  • Chrystal Ice Stickles edged the panel nicely.
  • SWEET PEA: A new sequin mix from PPP created by the sweet Lisa:)) arrived in the mail just in time to embellish with!

Thanks for stopping by!

FUSION challenge

The FUSION card challenge is celebrating it's 2nd Birthday!
To get the party going, each DT member chose a Guest Designer to inspire us for the challenge.
How FUN is THAT? Twice the inspiration folks!
Not only are the cards stunning but the COLORS in the photo are so Bright & CHERRY,
I just had to play along:))

Here is my card:

Last week I created my OWN RAINBOW of Terrace Roses using
a new background stamp from The TON.
I chose that middle YELLOW one to use for today's card.
Then I add more shadow details with these two ZIGGY markers.
After the background was finished I added a bouquet of Die cut ovals and sentiments to top it all off for a Freestyle/Collage party of color!

Thanks for stopping by!

STAMPlorations January Challenge

Hello! There is a new Sketch and Theme at STAMPlorations January Challenge.
Along with a whole new Team for CLEAN and SIMPLE cards.
Here is my card for the Challenge: I went CAS and used the sketch.
I started out with an A2 sized Solar White piece of  paper and added a bit of clean water to the corner. Then I took my KOI watercolors and dropped in some yellow and orange. Let it dry completely and stamped "THANKS" in BLUE JAY from SSS. Last I added three tiny butterflies in SUNBURST and DUCKLING SSS inks. Ran it through the Bigshot for the scalloped frame and popped it on an A2 card with a strip of washi at the bottom:)
