Papertrey MIM#250

Hello! I have a birthday card for my oldest brother using the MASKED BACKGROUND technique shared by Laurie Williams for MAKE IT MONDAY #250.
Once again I stuck to the advice of my youngest son for color choices...BLUES:))  PTI Spring Rain and Blueberry Sky were used for the BG.  I did throw a stencil on after the first inking to add more interest.
Here it is:
I used the negative space of the balloon die cut from Birthday Style die set and colored them in with Fiber Castell PITT Big brush pens and a few Smaller ones from the same company. The sentiment is from HOORAY!! I do like the brush lettered look of HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired By All the Little Things #17

Yay! It's Saturday:)

Herbal Healing is what inspired me at

  • First I dry embossed PTI Circle Scribbles dies onto the CS.
  • Then I grabbed my Papertrey Ink Dies for this one: Friendship Jar: Flowers and Branching Out.
  • The papers are PTI rustic White, My Minds Eye and GCD Studios Kathy Davis: Happiness
  • Arranged the branches and wrapped the flowers with Gold tread and placed then amung the leaves.
  • Wrapped twine around the stems.
  • Layered more GCD papers on the card base and sentiment.

Our Guest Designer for the week is LISA ELTON. A dear cardmaker that I have been a fan of for a long time. Stop by Inspired By blog and see what she has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy the Journey

Hello, We have Cheri Bury as our Guest artist this week at Inspired By All the Little Things.

The inspiration photo reminds me of my spring days spent in Europe many, many moons ago!
I used Altenew, PTI and SSS, and STAMPlortions stamps and dies for a freestyle/collage mixed media piece.

No matter where I am, or what I am doing,
I have learned to simply enjoy.
Here is a photo taken way back .. Spring 1989, Amsterdam. Yep, I'm wearing yellow:)  I SO wanted to bring this car home with me!  My kids tell me, after they all leave home I can get a "duck car" of my very own..a.k.a. Mini Cooper.

Have a Blessed Weekend!

LauraJane:)

  • You must use stamps in your project(s) -- rubber, clear, or digi from any company. Non-STAMPlorations stamps are OK (although please don't link up a project you've created for the sole purpose of promoting another company; those projects will be deleted.)
  • Link up to 6 entries and link up to as many other challenges as you want.
  • Link directly to your blog post, not to your main blog. (This makes it easy for us to find and comment on your entry.)

  • Brushed clean water over the images
  • Used Spectrum Noir Aqua Makers to loosely color the blooms

  • Die cut the bloom images as well as the the Branches from Beautiful Flowers Die Set
  • Fussy cut two of the smaller center flowers to have more sizes of bloom.
  • Die cut large pennant from Beautiful Flowers Die Set
  • Quickly colored with shades of green zig markers.
  • Embossed sentiment onto pennant
  • Created a bow, died to match the pennant and greenery.
  • Layered polka-dot and vellum papers onto a card base.
  • Adhered with foam tape, arranged to look like a hollyhock:)
  • placed a few sequins from  Copper Blush Sequn Mix

Honey Bee Stamps Design Team 2016 Entry

Hello all! The following post is a shameless commercial for a small business I have enjoyed supporting recently.
Honey Bee Stamps is a somewhat new, (one year old) stamp company owned and operated by  Melissa , (who is having a Design Team Call that I am participating in.)
Today I'm sharing a few cards seen here on my blog that feature stamps from Honey Bee Stamp Co. Most of these cards I've only shared on Instagram.
I was first taken by Melissa's sentiment from the Beautiful Life set..

I LOVE Honey Bee's sweet flower images...and that BEE:
...not to mention Vintage Type writer!
Then there is this Butterfly,
which also has two smaller siblings in the set.

Now, of course there are the cute Critter images,
and there are Digital Downloads with cut files available.

From the newest release, I fell head over heals with the Faux hand lettering in Bless Your Heart.

I think Honey Bee Stamps has a bright future in the card making world, as well as the Illustrated Faith community. I know many use their stamps for Pocket Scrap-booking; something I REALLY need to get caught up on!!
If they are new to you, Check them out. I have provided several links to the Honey Bee Stamps store. Plus they are carried by many supply companies as well!
Butterfly Reflections Ink,
Ellen Hutson,
Simon Says Stamp

It would be fabulous to be a part of the Honey Bee team, sharing the JOY of handmade goodness:)
Thank you for considering me and my work!
Hugs,
LauraJane:)

Happy 50th Birthday to Sandie!

My teamie from The Card Concept, Sandie from London Days, just celebrated a milestone birthday and I wanted to join Kylie's party sending her Birthday Blessings.

Thank you Sandie for all the Sweet encouraging comments you take time to leave on my blog.
Your CAS style is much admired by this CAS challenged girl:)
I wish you many Happy, Healthy and  Creative days to come!

  • Once again, I used Altenew Birch Land, like I did here, to create a butterfly bush which was stamped with in "Fruit Smoothie colors," Seedless Preserves, PTI Blueberry Sky, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade:)
  • The butterflies are from Botanical Garden and Painted Butterflies. Embossed with WOW Metallic Gold Rich Pale.
  • Beautiful Day provided the sentiment, stamped in Tuxedo Black
  • The airy outlined images, also from Beautiful Day, are embossed in Ranger's Gold Tinsel.

Thanks for stopping by!
