Papertreyink FEBRUARY 2017 BLOG HOP

Happy Saturday! And Papertrey Ink Bloghop day:)

Working with these Deep jewel tones was a stretch from my usual soft color palette. But in the end, I'm pleased with the card. My DH says it looks dark, moody and just a bit morbid.

As you can see I went for a literal interpretation using the new Gathered Garden Stamps and Dies.

Just for funzies, and I'm not crazy about the lack of stamping in this first card, I made another card stamping with more of the same colors as the first.
Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Autumn Rose, Scarlet Jewel and just a touch of Hibiscus Burst.

Thanks for stopping by. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else has come up with for the hop!

LauraJane:)

I totally love this, LauraJane. The mix of elements is so awesome and I love the cardstock colours you used - do I own these? P.S. I'm thinking that your bell bottom pants/bicycle chain accident might have been a good thing after all, LOL.

Both cards are stunning. I love those colors and the designs are very pretty. I love seeing how using the same colors with different backgrounds can give such different looks. I love the stitched and embossed layers on the first card and the scalloped layer on the second. TFS

Both cards are just gorgeous, LauraJane! It's very challenging to not use white or cream but your jewel tones with gray worked well. Great designs also!
