Altenew Build-A-Flower: Cattleya

It's August first which means there is a new Build-a-Flower at Altenew, YAY!

Welcome the newest bloom to the BAF family: Cattleya

BAF: Cattleya

Here is the layering guide included with the set.  The designers at Altenew have added a new feature making it so much easier to tell which image goes with which, by circling and adding numbers to each grouping on the stamp acetate sheet.

What a JOY it was creating with this new set:))
For my first card, I went Scrappy and stamped all the layers using the Shades Of Purple mini cube set.
Other Altenew products used:
Feeling Dotty Stencil

I will be adding this card to the AECP gallery for the Timeless Floral Layouts class. While this is not a lay-out, I DID learn several good tips on creating scrappy projects with balance!

My next card is a One-Layer Wonder: stamped with the Tropical Forest Mini Cube Set
I wanted to show how beautiful each layer of the BAF: Cattleya is. From the simple outline image all the way to layering 2 to 3 layers!

Both of your cards are gorgeous! I seldom make a one-layer card, because I always have to add one more thing. Lol! I guess that means I like layered cards best!:)

Beautiful cards. I love how you did the notebook die in vellum, tore at the bottom and stamped your sentiment there. Gorgeous design! Yep, that's my fave.

LauraJane, these are both so beautiful, I can't really say either one is my favourite. I love the first one with the layers, the way you did it, its really lovely. I also am a huge fan of one layer 'wonders' and this is gorgeous. You have a way with card making that blows me away. Always wonderful work!

In general I tend more towards one-layer cards, but of these two, I think I prefer the scrappy layers one. It just goes to show; it's all about what mood one is in. These are both so lovely, and I appreciate you sharing with us!
