Reminding you of the Challenge at STAMPlorations for this month:))
I chose to go with both Theme and Sketch for this one.
I used Sweet Spring Wishes, Bloom Factory and Scribbly Splattery Grunge stamp sets as well as the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting DiesI added some shadowing with gray Copic markers. The center of each bloom is embellished with NUVO drops:)

Theme and Sketch Challenge at STAMPlorations

Hello and welcome! There is a new challenge for July at STAMPlorations for Theme and Sketch.

Theme: STAMPS & WARM COLORS

I chose to go with the Theme: Stamps and Warm Colors, with just a hint of the elements from the sketch.  Here is my card using Trendy Spring Blooms stamps and coordinating Dies.
Masks made from a few of the coordinating dies create a cool white shadow effect for the stamped images, giving a touch of depth to the floral pattern area. Then I added some gradient inking with Distress inks.  The sentiment is from BEST MOM EVER. I trimmed the panel with Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.
So I must admit, I'm caught up in the NUVO drop trend...Not only can any size"enamel" dot be made right on the card...without the fussy gluing nightmare, but..If watered down, the solution can be used as SPLATTER:) I simply place a drop of NUVO on my craft mat, spritz with H20, mix with brush and splatter away! Perfectly color matched with the "dots"..or in this card's case, one LARGE dot.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope to see your creations in the gallery at STAMPlorations!

Altenew July 2017 Inspiration Challenge

Hello:) I have a Beautiful Mess to share with you today!

Since it is July, HOT and Watermelon season
I decided to work with the colors from the Altenew July 2017 Inspiration Challenge inspiration photo. Layered Floral Cover Dies A & B are the foundation to each of my cards. When playing with the cover dies, I find that I make several cards at a time. For this creative afternoon session, I made 4 cards..each unique in their own way:)

Starting out, I cut  Cover A from white cardstock, and used it as a stencil for the first card. Inking with Crisp inks: Ruby Red and Puffy Heart. Cover plate B helped with the extra detail in the leaves using Bamboo and Olive. Then I colored just a bit with the Artistic markers:R304 and R318.  For the sentiment, I reached for the Floral Frame stamp set. I found the tiny "seeds" in this set as well, inked with Jet Black crisp ink.

For the next card I used the Covers A and B that I had used as stencils on the card above and layered them together onto a White cardbase to create a pretty Watermelon colored card with a totally different look:) Those Platinum Embossed butterflies are from the Botanical Garden Stamp and die bundle. Label Love added the much needed touch of Black for the sentiment. I was pleasantly surprised to find that  ANTIQUE ROSE NUVO Crystal Drops matched the Liquid Platinum EP perfectly!!

For my next two cards I just used Floral Cover A.
This one is SUPER CAS..I simply left the negative cuts on the Cover Die and carefully added glue to each piece..then placed a White A2 sized piece of CS on top and rolled it with a brayer tool.  Lifted the metal cover die off  to reveal a beautiful white on white floral texture:) This time I inked the Label Love  sentiment in Ruby Red crisp ink under lined it with a strip of glitter tape  and embellished it with Enamel dots  from the New Day Card Kit. I LOVE how these dots are matte finish!

And the final card has the Cover A cut from white CS; glued to a white cardbase and layered with elements from the Reflection Scrapbook kit. EEEK! In writing this post I see that EACH item from the kit can be purchased separately!! Even the GORGEOUS box:)

There you are:) 4 happy cards with not much effort!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you take some time to create something you LOVE today.
Hugs,

LauraJane:)

Mood Board at The Ton Challenge

SCRUMPTIOUS colors to work with in this MOOD BOARD for THE TON JULY CHALLENGE!
Deciding WHICH stamps to work with from The TON was the most challenging part. There are so many florals to choose from:))

I finally narrowed it down to:
I heat embossed the selected Blooms from the sets above onto watercolor CS using
Clear Embossing Powder. Then colored them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor - 36 Colors. After the blooms were dry, I cut them out using the Coordinating Dies. Just a hint of markers was used to add a bit of shadowing details:)
I had a panel of CS stamped with the Polka Dots Background Cling in Crystal Pewter (Pewter Minis would be a GREAT collection to have on hand too:) Trimmed with the Double Stitched Rectangle die Small and layer my pretty blooms onto that.
For the sentiment I used the LOVE from Bokeh Burst Heart and Coordinating die. Heat embossed with Silver Embossing powder. Colored a tiny banner to coordinate with the largest bloom and stamped much with Noir Dye ink. This  Liquid Glue is my FAVORITE to stick things down...it is Permanent and Repositionable...just let it dry a bit on your paper pieces first and then it becomes tacky...repositionable:)) Popped teh whole bundle onto a white card base and called it done!

The Anemone center was Re-Embossed with Black EP after the watercoloring was dry.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are inspired to play along with us!
