The Card Concept Challenge #29 begins today! Once again the inspiration photo is full of color!!
The Theme is GET WELL SOON!
Here is my card for the FREESTYLE COLLAGE category.
I used a new stencil from STAMPlorations called Oh My Stars!
The stars have Sweet sizes and shapes in my opinion...not too pointy:)
The tea cup is from Mama Elephant and the frame Wplus9.
I did some coloring with marker on the cup as well as watercolor on the BG.
DO stop by to see the cards from the other DT gals, along with Guest designer Jeanne Jachna.
Remember, all styles are welcome:)
Hope to see you playing along!
LauraJane:)
PS.
Just wanted to share some of my favorite lyrics from Mercy Me's GREATER
There'll be days I lose the battle
Grace says that it doesn't matter
Cause the cross already won the war
He's Greater
He's Greater
I am learning to run freely
Understanding just how he sees me
And it makes me love him more and more
He's Greater
He's Greater
than
He who is living the world

Lovey card Laura Jane! Love the water colored background!
What a pretty card, Laura Jane - you really are an inspiration. : ) Love the strip of sunny yellow at the bottom, how cheerful! Thank you so much BTW for picking my little Valentine's lovebirds card as your favourite in last week's challenge. Sooo chuffed! : D
Ok... for real.... I saw this card and gasped. This is one of my favorite things I've seen all year. The bright, whimsical proliferation of stars escaping from that cup.... The gorgeous way you've framed it out... The graphic pop of yellow at the bottom. EVERYTHING about this is pure amazingness. This is going all over my Pinterest board so I can ogle it later!
Thank you Becca!
I am quite chuffed with this card.( learned a new word from Cori above) HA!!
Had been thinking on it for three months, the inspiration photo that is, I was stumpt!!
Until I saw the Oh My Stars stencil from ARTplorations, then it came together, piece by piece. After seeing the teacup was at a slight angle...ugh!... the frame had to be added and then the frame was too big for the card base so I cut things down...ack!!... which lead to the added washi...SWOON!!
I love it when a card grows into it's self!! It simply Becomes:)))
Hey Cori, Thanks for the vocabulary word of the day!!!
*chuffed* I like it and will use it at least three time today:))
Hugs
