Shakers are EVERYWHERE these days!! They are pretty and interactive...but I'm not a fan of the bulkiness of them.
However, Virginia shares HELPFUL links on HOW to Make shakers:)
Jennifer McGuire: Shaker Card Tips , Vellum Shaker Card, Shaker Card Tips-3 Cards
Kristina Werner: Sewn Shaker Card
Nichol Magouirk: Shaker Card with Beads
Julia Altermann: Shaker Card with Seed Beads
After seeing all these SHAKER help videos I played along.
Lots of layers but still very thin! Glitter and small paper confetti punches make GREAT no-bulk shaker material!
EDITED: This is not my first shaker I have made...just the first without the fiddly foam tape and trying to line things up to keep all the shakeables from escaping:)
Thanks for stopping by!

Laura Jane I love this!! Your fancy layered frame and those itty bitty shaker bits, so pretty!
Wow, I am LOVING this no-bulk, no mess shaker card---> CLEVER! It is GORGEOUS! Seriously, this is your first try? Wow, I love the mix of glitter and confetti! I hope that you are encouraged to try out more types and have fun with this challenge! It's always a pleasure to visit your blog, Laura Jane! Thanks so much for playing Virginia’s View “Shaker Cards” Challenge!
You always know all the good tricks! This card is so buttery and sparkly and AWESOME!
Thanks for stopping Virginia, No, this is not my first attempt at Shaker cards..just the first without the foam tape bulk. The video links were so helpful in putting the Shaker in a better light for me:)
How gorgeous! Love these bright colors, and the thinness and all those layers and die cuts. This is wonderful!
Laura Jane what an awesome shaker card! You and yellow are a perfect match! ;)
I LOVE the no bulk shaker card!! Please share the link for this or did you make it up yourself? I have seen all the videos posted but do not remember a no bulk one. I hate making shaker cards for that exact reason. LOVE the colors on this and that fun cup cake. I just got those and cannot wait to use it!! Fabulous take on the challenge!!
Thanks for stopping by Nora, in answer to your question, after seeing the video from Julia Altermann where she used a TON of adhesive to hold her shaker together, I thought why NOT just leave out the foam tape? The shakeables still move around. If you wanted more movement just add a second layer of the scalloped die.
LauraJane your card is sweet like a cupcake!
Whenever I see yellow and orange it makes me happy. Thank you for brighten my day!
