Spring!!!

Feels like Spring!!
The snow is melted and the sun is shining, Spring has come to our part of the world:))) At least for a few days.

I have been quiet on the commenting front  with good reason my dear readers.  My oldest daughter was surprised with an engagement ring and proposal on Valentines Day.  He, future SIL, took her to the Butterfly House in St. Louis, It was also their first official date without a chaperone... yes, their courting relationship has played out like one of the Dugger Girls, without all the cameras!  The big day is set for this June, and I was happy to be in charge of making the 100+ invitations:)  The card fronts are completed *sigh*

Altenew's Painted Butterflies was the stamp set the newlyweds chose for me to work with.  I've found that I do not like making duplicate cards. The happy couple graciously allowed me to vary the colors on each one.YAY!!

For today's card, I created something similar to the invitations that are finished, but not yet sent to the post. I used distress inks and water on PTI's new Fresh Snow Linen cardstock.
Linking up to the Altenew March Challenge and

Thanks for stopping by!

LauraJane:)

Altenew Supplies:
Painted Butterflies
Vintage Flowers

Distress Inks:
Cracked Pistachio
Tumbled glass
Shaded Lilac
Evergreen Bough

EDITED:
Thank you for asking about the varied colors Marika. I had not thought about photographing all of them together...but I gave it  go!  Let me explain just a bit more about the invitations, they are much more CAS than the version I created for the challenge. I simply inked up the stamps in different rainbow colors before stamping.  Without the wash of color over the sentiment they reproduced very quickly!
Here are a few pics of all the LG butterflies and and then some of my most favorites from the project.

After seeing my card for the challenge, my daughter is asking for some silver embossing to be added to each one...HA!!  I believe a card is never TRULY finished until it is in the mail!!!

Firstly, this card is so beautiful and soft! Love this! Secondly, a warm congratulations on your daughter, your future son-in-law sounds to be amazing! And thirdly, congrats to you for making 100+ more invitations!! If those are similar to this cards, they are very very beautiful!! If you still have all of them, could you please take a photo where all of them can be seen. I would like to see how you varied the colours but kept the same design.. Oh those must be beautiful!

Forgot to say....CONGRATS on your DD's engagement! That is HUGE! I love the courtship of the Duggers...that seemed old-fashioned, but it is the Godly way, isn't it? So happy for you and your family!
