Create along with us at PTI

I have a card for the Create Along With Us Challenge at PTI.
I was intrigued with Betsy's card using the Double Up dies and adding ink to the embossed or de-bossed area with a brayer on the die..

Here is my card.

I thought I could use the Embroidered Borders Die and stamps for that same look. It actually worked out pretty well using the coordinating stamp instead of inking with a brayer. That just looked like a messy accident waiting to happen! Yeah, ink would be everywhere!

Here is Betsy's card:

Here is a closer look at mine:

Thanks for the inspiration Betsy!!
So excited to get my hands on those new scalloped dies! What are you ordering from the new release?

  1. everything about this re-creation of Betsy's card! The framing around your sentiment and gorgeous feathers is just fabulous! Lovely, lovely card!! :0)

  2. Another gorgeous card. I was wondering how you got those dies already so you did a great job of using what you had!

  3. I need more Grace! heehee that is what I am ordering from the new release! I am loving the "Inspired" products!! : )

Your card is really pretty! so clever to use your dies that way and your feathers are colored so perfectly!!

I received my Happy Mail yesterday and I can't remember being so excited to get something!! I will e-mail you later to ask you about some of the products you sent! you've made me wanna shop! LOL

Thank you so much Laura Jane!!

    Have a great day.

  4. I really had to look closely to figure out how you did those scallops! What a beautiful card! I'm really trying to refrain from spending because I just finished ordering a bunch of Copic refills. I did put that Thinking of You die on my wishlist though.

  5. So pretty LauraJane! Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

  6. Wispy, feminine and ever so lovely!!

  7. Honestly, I run out of admiring compliments every time I come to comment on your cards! Ahhhh, (that's a sigh as I love your border, feathers, colors, layout, and layers). I'm so casing your case!!!
