The Ton’s Summer 2017 Release - Day 1

Hello and welcome to Day1 of The Ton's Summer Release! A release filled with wonderful Blooms and trendy fonts in the sentiments. For today, Effie is revealing 8 stamp sets. I'm GEEKING out over the new FRESH CUT ANEMONES..another multi-layer set...which is SO EASY to line up:)) 

For my first card I used FRESH CUT ANEMONES and the coordinating Anemones Outline stamp set.

The sentiment is from the Anemone Outline set.

To make the card I inked the layers of FRESH CUT ANEMONES with Distress inks... colors used shown in photo....and spritzed with water before stamping. I think it gave this a soft watercolor look without the fuss. After each bloom was dry I stamped the Anemones Outlines in Black Noir Dye ink.  To finish the blooms I heat embossed the middle stamen images with Black EP to make them POP off the panel:)

My next card features the Watercolor Bouquet...another FAVORITE of mine:))

I selectively inked the image with Distress inks added a small amount of clean water mist and stamped on Distress watercolor paper. The distress markers make the selective inking easier. After the images were dried I went back with Olive Green Zig marker adding a bit of detail lines to the leaves. A  Black ZIG worked perfectly for the center stamen and bloom details. Trimmed the panel with the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large),  Soft Mint Gelato couture mix added just a hint of sparkle:)
