The Ton’s Summer 2017 Release - Day 2

Welcome back to Day2 of The Ton's Summer 2017 release week. Six stamps sets are in the reveal line-up today. Be sure to stop by The Ton Blog to see the sets in their entirety:)  Many of today's sets are helpful in creating masculine type cards. That's a GREAT thing in my book!

MOUNTAINS are the main focus for my first card...three layers in this one, with smaller treelines to build a scene:))

Before sitting down to ink up this Mountain set, I asked my girls what colors to use.."Blue, Purple, and Pink," they said. So I reached for the Cali Blue, Iris Blooms, Dark Roast, and Light Onyx...sorry no pink in this one:/ 

Simply trimmed with Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large). There will be a Coordinating Die for this set in a couple of weeks.  Glitter tape was the simplest embellishment to finish the card. The sentiment is from a new set called BANNERS HOLIDAY ADD ONS. 

For my next card i'm featuring the Incentive mini stamp Anemones Cluster and the New Basic Banners.

I really like how this mini set can be stamped multiple times across the panel to create a garland.

• Usinging Distress watercolor paper, I stamped the Anemones Cluster three times with just a hint of masking at the edges of the blooms. 
• Then I brushed clean water onto the background being careful to leave the images dry
• I dabbed Seeded Preserves and Mulled Lavender Distress Ink onto the wet panel to achieve a soft wash of color
• Set it aside to dry
• Then I took a light green alcohol marker and quickly colored in the leaves..added Olive Zig marker for more details 
• I attempted to keep the blooms white by selectively coloring with N1,N3, and N5 copic markers
• Finally I outlined everything with a XS PIT pen
• Stamped the Basic Banner and sentiment in Noir and fussy cut that out....Coordinating dies will be available in the shop June 8th.
• Trimmed the panel with Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Small).
• Layered that onto a striped pattern paper trimmed with Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large)
• Embellished with the Incentive Couture Mix SUMMER SOIREE
