The Ton’s Summer 2017 Release - Day 4

YAY! Release day is Here! SUMMER 2017 The Ton stamps are in the shop. And we are on Day4 of reveal at The Ton Blog.

This was actually my first card made using stamps from this release, so does that make it my favorite?  It's called WATERCOLOR WREATHS

I found it Lovely to ink up with Zig markers.

• Popping the large wreath image into the mini MISTI, I selectively colored the blooms and leaves with Zig Markers: 202, 021, 041, 050, 053, and gave it a light spray of water, then stamped onto BRISTOL SMOOTH White CS. 
• Opened up the MISTI and re-colored where it was needed, sprayed and stamped again. I continued these steps until I was happy with the saturation of color.
• Then I took a clean water brush and pulled the pink color from the blooms to give more of a hand-painted look.
• The sentiment is inked with RED SANGRIA dye ink. 
• Trimmed and layered with the Double Stitched Square Dies (Small)
• Embellished with PINK LEMONADE Couture Mix

For my next card I used the similar in style PEONY TERRACE BACKGROUND cling.

With the original MISTI and DISTRESS watercolor PAPER;

• I selectively colored the PEONY TERRACE BACKGROUND cling with DISTRESS MARKERS: worn lipstick,picked raspberries,twisted citron, squeezed lemonade, mustard seed, iced spruce, evergreen bough, weathered wood
• Spritzed with clean water and stamped, 
• Repeat coloring, spritzing and stamping until the saturation was what I wanted
• Allowed it to dry completely
• Stamped the sentiment from LARGE PEONY 4 with GRAND FUCHSIA dye ink
• trimmed the panel with Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Small)
• Added GOLD TINSEL EP to the edges with heat
• Wrapped DMC Diamant Metallic Thread 38.2yd - Light Gold and tied a bow
• Embellished with the INCENTIVE COUTURE mix SUMMER SOIREE
• matted it with pink gingham paper
