Happy July everyone! I'm super excited to participate in the Blog hop for Altenew's Build-A-Flower: Peruvian Lily The Build-A-Flower: Peruvian Lily set includes 1 6x8 stamp set (14 stamp images) and 1 coordinating die set (2 dies).
This special product is only sold as a set, not individually
Here is a snippet of info on the Peruvian Lily, also known as Alstroemeria, blooms in a variety of colors and is native to South America. Some petals are flecked with darker shades, resulting in a distinctive and beautiful look. This stamp set includes a realistic and incredibly detailed Peruvian lily, designed to be stamped in contrasting or coordinating colors. A lovely leaf and painted sentiment finish off the set.
And here are my projects:
This first card features the
Peruvian Lily stamped with
all the layers. I used the mini crisp ink sets
Rose Petal and
Tea Party. By mixing up the different inks, each bloom has it's own unique look, yet coordinate because of the similar color sets used.

(My Mom peacefully passed away, in her home, June 12th with her family by her side. Ending a two year bout with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in victory, because there is no more pain or worry. Only new Life, with a New Body, rejoicing on the Otherside, in eternal Glory with our Creator:)
The final layer of the stamen is embossed with GOLD embossing powder for a simple pop of bling! I LOVE the sentiments that come in the set:)

And my final project with the Peruvian Lily is a 3D home decor hoopart. So excited at how this turned out!!
I stamped several layers from the Peruvian Lily set onto a 7x7" piece of linen tablecloth of Mom's. Then I added color and texture with simple stitches of embroidery thread. Leaving some areas colored in with the
Artistic Markers adds more interest to the piece. The
BEAUTIFUL sentiment is from the
Simple Flowers stamp set. My rusty embroidery skills quickly improved after a few minutes and I found that
stitching was good therapy for a weary soul:)
To finish off the back side of the hoop, I cut a circle from
Pattern paper stamped with the
special thank you set from Altenew, and glued it to the back for a clean and simple look.
These two coordinating projects are my submission for the final challenge at AECP for Level 2.
