NEW stencils at STAMPlorations by Helen G.

Hello All!
Today is an exciting day at Stamplorations, as we are sharing projects made using new MAKE MARKS STENCILS from Helen G. Designs! Yes, our very own Mixed Media design team Member,  Helen Gullett, has designed 6 new stencils for us to play with. Each stencil is cut from high quality transparent blue stencil material and features 2 separate patterns

Take a Look:

I enjoyed inking these stencils with oval brushes to create soft patterns and backgrounds for die cut sentiments.

Make Marks 2 - ARTplorations Stencil -  Helen G. Designs
Make Marks 4 -
ARTplorations Stencil -
Helen G. Designs

I created a stencil and mask swatches with a Bloom Happy Coordinating Dies - CUTplorations and then inked the all three stencils: Make Marks 2, 4, & 5. Then added a drop shadow to each Swatch for dimension. Popped the HUGS die cut on and called it done.
For the second card, I masked off the edges of the cardfront. Then used the stencils: Make Marks 2 & 5 to ink layers with complimentary colors. Added the Die cut Smile and a few sequins.

For the final card I placed die cut masks of Trendy Spring Blooms Dies - CUTplorations then inked  Make Marks 2 over the top creating ghost images along with the stencils. Simply Splendid Phrase Die - CUTplorations is cut three times and stacked with the top one inked in the same colors as the stencil.

*Inks used are from The Ton Stamps:
Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Lemon Drop, Beach Blonde, Peach Blossom, Rose Quartz, and Orchid Crush

*Just a kiss of Wink of Stella on the sentiment dies for sparkle:)

There is a Blog Hop where you can leave comments for chances to win Prizes!

* ONE (1) winner of a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store
* TWO (2) winners of their choice of 2 Helen G. Designs stencils

Commenting closes on May 8, with the winners announced on May 10 in the April winners post.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope your day is Blessed!

April challenge at Pinkfresh Studio

Hello, and Happy Easter!

Playing along with the April challenge at Pinkfresh Studio using several goodies from the January release and the Latest, Essentials Release:)
The theme is Shakers and Frames for the April challenge, and I needed a giftbox about 4x5x1/2".

So a framed window shaker it is! Check it out:)

I was  inspired by Leigh Houston to add some tulle to keep the sequins in.
Pinkfresh supplies:
Circle frame with botanicals
Love with botanicals die set
Essentials: Classic tags with fillable elements die set

One of the fillable elements from the Classic Tags die set made an interesting Belly Band for the box., tied on with some yellow Ric-Rac from my stash. All the papers are scraps from my stash too.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my project today!

Crafty Hugs,
Hope your day is Blessed!

MISSink stamps

Happy Easter weekend everyone!

I have a card featuring another stamp and stencil from the NEW stamp company Miss Ink Stamps. You can read how I found them by clicking here.

Magnolia Sympathy is a beautiful 6x8" stamp set that has several sentiments allowing for more than sympathy cards. The simple outlines of the images make it perfect for coloring!

Here is my card:

To make the card:

  • Stamp several of each Magnolia Sympathy image onto Bristol Smooth cardstock using Silver Lake crisp ink
  • Colored with the Ziggys..Clean Color Real Brush Markers
  • Fussy cut each image set aside
  • Layered several pattern papers cut to an A2 size
  • Dry embossed the Circle Harlequin stencil onto white cardstock
  • Lightly brushed Rose Quartz crisp ink with an oval brush through the stencil
  • Cut out the circle with a circle cutter
  • Layer the embossed circle onto yellow cardstock and trimm down to fit in the lower corner of the cardfront
  • Arrange the colored images and adhere to the card
  • Tuck in a few Botanical Sprigs cut from pink cardstock
  • Heat emboss the sentiment from Magnolia Sympathy stamp set onto a scrap of yellow CS, trimmed from the circle
  • Snuggle it up under the branch and arrangement with a scarp of pink paper
  • Gently tickle the ends of the leaves and blooms up to add a hint of dimension

The  Circle Harlequin stencil is one of my favorite stencils in the first release from Miss Ink Stamps. I think it adds a subtle kiss of color behind the magnolia branch without over powering it.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I''l be back next Saturday with another creation from Miss Ink Stamps. I hope you are enjoying what I'm making and checking out the new store as well!

Springtime Bunnies from MISSink stamps

Hello and Happy weekend!

Today I'm Guest designing with the NEW stamp company Miss Ink Stamps. I found them over on Instagram just last month, through some crafty/enabling/influencing friends there.

I'm quite taken with ALL the critters from Miss Ink Stamps! If you are a regular reader/follower of mine, you know I don't usually play with anything other than flowers, however, these sweetly drawn Bunnies spoke to me:)) and these Mice make me giggle and finally, cute Goats and puny sentiments are just toot, Toot Sweet, and fun to pass up!

Here is my card for today using the Springtime Bunnies stamp set, Springtime Banners, and Halftone Lines Bold Center Stencil.

The first thing I played with on receiving my order was the Halftone Lines Bold Center Stencil.  I found that by inking color and then rotating the stencil one quarter turn then ink again, a cool gingham pattern emerges:))

It was a pleasure coloring the images from Springtime Bunnies stamp set and Springtime Banners with Ziggys , going for a No-Line coloring look.
After coloring the critters, I took a chance and used the Scan-n-Cut to cut them out...but my margin setting was off, so there is a nice mix of white/no white edges on the eggs and chicks.
Having a love hate relationship with my SnC..the blades are always dull do to my kids using it so often.. I was able to get that Banner trimmed out as I wanted and stacked two layers for dimension.  Hoping for a release of coordinating dies...hint, hint.

How FUN is that sentiment?!? Even my DH took notice!
I also made a quick IGTV video of how to achieve the Gingham Background. You can watch it by clicking  >HERE<.

I encourage you to check out all the Goodies at Miss Ink Stamps.  The stamps are high quality and I LOVE the unique stencils! Curbing my enthusiasm was very difficult when placing my first order.
And now the Free Shipping price point is $35.  There are several Coffee related sets and Florals which are sure to delight:) I'll be back next week with another MissInk card for you.

After inking the Cross Stitch Flower onto an A2 sized white card stock with Crisp inks: Rose Quartz, Puffy Heart, Purple Wine, Buttercream Sunkissed,Bamboo, and Olive
  • I ran the panel through my die-cutting machine with the Cross Stitch Canvas Die for some added interest
  • Then I fussy cut around the top of the stamped images
  • Layered it over a panel that was softly brushed with Rose Quartz and Puffy Heart over the Square Weave Pattern Stencil
  • Popped up the top edge with foam tape
  • Embellished with Enamel Dots

My next card has a detailed process video you can watch below or on my Youtube channel in HD.

This card features the Charmed Stamp Set colored with the new Watercolor Brush Markers .- Tropical Fiesta Set.

The sentiment is found in the Best Dad Stamp Set

I really enjoyed using the watercolor Brush Markers to add color then moved the color around with a clean water brush.
