Altenew February 2020 Stamp/Die/Stencil/Watercolors Release Blog Hop + Giveaway + Video!

Hello Friends! Altenew is celebrating their February 2020 Stamp/Die/Stencil/Watercolors Release with a  Blog Hop + Giveaway. I so excited to share what I have created with a handful of  new products! The Bloghop list is at the end of this post.
As always, Altenew has something for everyone in this release. Take a look at the newest Stamp/Dies/Stencil goodies below:

Now let's get to looking at the samples I made you today!!!

First up is the Dotted Diamonds Stamp Set. I love how easy it is to create cards with Background stamps, and the Dotted Diamonds is no exception!
To make this card:
  • I simply inked up the large Dotted Diamonds stamp with Maple Yellow Crisp ink
  • gave it a quick spritz of water
  • pressed 110lb Cardstock onto the inked stamp and pressed firmly over the entire surface; making sure the ink transferred to the CS
  • trimmed the panel down to 3.75x5"
  • quickly blended Fresh Lemon and Warm Sunshine inks around the edges, leaving a "spotlight look" in the very middle
  • dabbed anti-static powder onto the cardfront
  • stamped the sentiment, with Obsidian ink
  • then Heat embossed with Crisp Clear Embossing Powder
  • Adhere to an A2 size card base

I miss you card...Featuring:
Dotted Diamonds Stamp Set
Crisp Inks: Maple Yellow, Fresh Lemon, and Warm Sunshine
Obsidian Pigment Ink
Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder

The next stamp is the Beautiful Ornamental Bliss Stamp Set: a Multi-layered set for building ornate designs with the Crisp inks. This set has a Coordinating die, Ornamental Bliss Die Set, and is also sold as a bundle; Ornamental Bliss Stamp & Die Bundle

Creating a Blue Delft pattern was my goal on this card; reminding me of a set of china My mom had when I was a child. The layers in the set are easy to line up for proper placement. I did not use the OUTLINE image stamp for the card. But you can see how it looks on the embellishments at the sides in the photos.

MISS YOU card...Featuring:
Crisp Ink Collections: Lapis Lazuli, Deep Blue Seas
MISTI Tool
Rose Gold EP
*******
This next stamp enhances a hidden treasure in the Rose Blossom Stamp Set....
Warm Hugs Stamp Set has stamps to create as I did below: Bold color blocking with small solid image stamps. They may be used alone or together to fill in the small outline image from the Rose Blossom Stamp Set
Note of Thanks...Featuring:
Warm Hugs Stamp Set
Sunburst Stencil
Crisp Ink Collections: Fall Harvest, Sea Shore, and Sweet Dreams

And the NEW Artist quality Watercolor 24 Pan set is
available now!!!
Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set

The card on the left may look familiar to you from the January 24th Release ...I didn't share too many details about it other than the INCREDIBLE stamp set that is the foundation of the card...the Coloring medium was the Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set..
Below I have a second card like the first in which I watercolor and captured in a video for you to see how Fabulous these new watercolors are!!

I used the Summer Afternoon, Warm and Cozy, Red Cosmos Artists' Watercolor pans for the watercolored cards above. These colors are dreamy, creamy and move with water SO WELL! I am a newbie to watercoloring, however, I think the blooms above look closer to a pro than my skills actually are.

You can watch the video below or on my YouTube channel.

The next two cards feature the Watercolor Roses Stamp & Die Bundle along with the Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Begonia Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and Happy February everyone!!

Dreaming of warmer weather with this new Build-A-Flower: Begonia from Altenew!!!

I'm honored to be on the Bloghop list starting at the Altenew Card Blog celebrating the newest member to the BAF family! I have the full Bloghop list at the end of this post.
Take a look at this lovely new multi layered Build-A-Flower.
Build-A-Flower: Begonia

Build-A-Flower: Begonia & Ink Bundle (5% discount)
The samples I have for you today feature the 2 Crisp Ink color collections that come in this month's Bundle.
To make this card:
  • I stamped several of the Build-A-Flower: Begonia blooms using only the 2 DETAILED images onto an A2 card front; making sure to leave space in-between each Begonia
  • I varied the colors for the blooms using the Golden Sunset Crisp Ink collection
  • Then I stamped the leaves, using Green Meadows Crisp Ink collection
  • To create an interesting background for the begonias, I cut masks for all the blooms and leaves using the dies in the set.
  • place the masks onto the card front
  • Then I stamped the Begonia OUTLINE image in SUNRAY crisp ink..
  • The used anti static powder (cornstarch) to prep the surface for embossing
  • Inked inked the Dainty Swiss Dots  BG stamp with clear embossing ink and stamped  the cardfront
  • Added the Caribbean Sky Crisp Embossing Powder and set with heat
  • Removed all the masks
  • Heat embossed the sentiment with Caribbean Sky Crisp Embossing Powder on a separate piece of white cardstosk
  • Trimmed it to a square and matted it with another piece of CS colored with the Caribbean Sky Artist Marker
  • Popped the sentiment square into place and mounted it to a card base

Just for you...Featuring:

Using the OUTLINE image of Build-A-Flower: Begonia for this next card..inking with the Watercolor Brush Markers in the MISTI stamp tool. Spraying the inked image with clean water to help the colors move.
After inking up two Begonia blooms I continued with the same technique on several leaves. Then cut them all out with the dies.
I assembled an arrangement of begonias and leaves with bits of Leafy Garland Die covered with Pastel Strokes Washi Tape.
And popped the arrangement onto a white panel of FAUX letterpress using the Grid Stencil.
Hello Gorgeous....Featuring:
Watercolor Brush Markers: Warm Sunshine, Rouge,Emerald, Sweet Leaf
 *******
For my final card, I stamped all the layers in the Build-A-Flower: Begonia & Ink Bundle and added more details with Artist Markers and colored pencils.
After die-cutting the images I used the markers and pencils to drag the colors out to the very edges of each die cut.

Thanks....Featuring:
Artist Markers: R304, R601, Y512
