Altenew Build-A-Flower: Begonia Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and Happy February everyone!!

Dreaming of warmer weather with this new Build-A-Flower: Begonia from Altenew!!!

I'm honored to be on the Bloghop list starting at the Altenew Card Blog celebrating the newest member to the BAF family! I have the full Bloghop list at the end of this post.
Take a look at this lovely new multi layered Build-A-Flower.
Build-A-Flower: Begonia

Build-A-Flower: Begonia & Ink Bundle (5% discount)
The samples I have for you today feature the 2 Crisp Ink color collections that come in this month's Bundle.
To make this card:
  • I stamped several of the Build-A-Flower: Begonia blooms using only the 2 DETAILED images onto an A2 card front; making sure to leave space in-between each Begonia
  • I varied the colors for the blooms using the Golden Sunset Crisp Ink collection
  • Then I stamped the leaves, using Green Meadows Crisp Ink collection
  • To create an interesting background for the begonias, I cut masks for all the blooms and leaves using the dies in the set.
  • place the masks onto the card front
  • Then I stamped the Begonia OUTLINE image in SUNRAY crisp ink..
  • The used anti static powder (cornstarch) to prep the surface for embossing
  • Inked inked the Dainty Swiss Dots  BG stamp with clear embossing ink and stamped  the cardfront
  • Added the Caribbean Sky Crisp Embossing Powder and set with heat
  • Removed all the masks
  • Heat embossed the sentiment with Caribbean Sky Crisp Embossing Powder on a separate piece of white cardstosk
  • Trimmed it to a square and matted it with another piece of CS colored with the Caribbean Sky Artist Marker
  • Popped the sentiment square into place and mounted it to a card base

Just for you...Featuring:
 *******
Using the OUTLINE image of Build-A-Flower: Begonia for this next card..inking with the Watercolor Brush Markers in the MISTI stamp tool. Spraying the inked image with clean water to help the colors move.
After inking up two Begonia blooms I continued with the same technique on several leaves. Then cut them all out with the dies.
I assembled an arrangement of begonias and leaves with bits of Leafy Garland Die covered with Pastel Strokes Washi Tape.
And popped the arrangement onto a white panel of FAUX letterpress using the Grid Stencil.
Hello Gorgeous....Featuring:
Watercolor Brush Markers: Warm Sunshine, Rouge,Emerald, Sweet Leaf
 *******
For my final card, I stamped all the layers in the Build-A-Flower: Begonia & Ink Bundle and added more details with Artist Markers and colored pencils.
After die-cutting the images I used the markers and pencils to drag the colors out to the very edges of each die cut.

Thanks....Featuring:
Artist Markers: R304, R601, Y512
