We, on this Blog Hop, are celebrating Parents and the Elderly by bringing attention to the Celebrating Parents Card Drive at Altenew.
I am always honored to be a part of this hop, as I think our parents and elderly generation often get forgotten in this Tech filled, fast 4G, 5G generation. Plus, in light of the World Wide Pandemic, there are so many more that are quarantined from family.
How Blessed are we, that God has given us a passion to create something that can easily be given away to brighten someone's day?!?! With a bit of paper and imagination, lives can be changed.
Altenew's goal is to send cards for the elderly that lives in nursing homes or shelters to let them know they’re not forgotten. We encourage YOU to check out the Celebrating Parents Card Drive and join this great cause by sending in cards.
Make this card:
I took the Breezy Bouquet rose, stamped in the corner of an A2 size card front and colored it with the artist markers for a no-line colored look. Then I took the Fancy Hello Die and cut from a piece from Pastel Dreams 6x6 paper pack and again from sturdy card stock for a stacked layered HELLO.... Next, I placed it on the colored front and rounded two opposing corners for a change.

With that goal in mind, I have 4 cards to share. With hopes to get your creative mojo going.
To make this card, I took the tiny outlined image from theBuild-A-Flower: Canterbury Bells, lightly stamped it and colored it with the Artist Markers. Next I took the nesting dyes and cut the panel as well as some vellum.
For the main floral, I stamped the Extra Special Stamp with warm sunshine, colored that with Artist Markers and used the coordinating die plus cut a second image from darker paper as a drop shadow.

Next is one of my original favorites, Painted Butterflies Stamp Set, with the Tiny Bubbles stencil.
To make this card: I randomly stamped three butterflies on an A2 background using the Obsidian Pigment Ink and then stamped the solid images using the Tea Party crisp inks, Then I created some masks with the coordinating dies and placed them over the top of each butterfly. A bit of inking over the Tiny Bubbles stencil for a cheery BG. Then I used a couple of the artist markers to make a few of those bubbles stand out by adding a hint of shadow to the lower parts of the circles.. Stamped the sentiment and the card is finished

Here's one last card, that is a grouping of scrappy bits left from past cards...this one was also at Creativation 2020.Make this card:
I dry embossed the Honeycomb Stencil onto white cardstock... but first inked the stencil with some warm sunshine and gave a good spritz of water so they would be color where the dry embossed lines would be for a FAUX Letter pressed look.
Next I placed two stripes of my favorite washi tape and created a focal point with a classic rose colored with pencils....cut up a snowflake die and some pretty little leaves and used a tiny little stamp from breezy bouquet for the sentiment.
I love how this turned out!
