I had the pleasure of creating with the new watercolor papers along with the new 12 pan Essentials set. The Paint-A-Flower: Iris was an great set to test both papers and colors. The Watercolor Essential 12 Pan Set colors are vibrant, smooth, and mix beautifully!

Below you can see several of the Watercolor Essential 12 Pan Set colors on the new Watercolor Paper Pad (9"x12")...100% cotton 300lbs/gm, Cold Pressed. This paper has tooth on both sides and didn't show any signs of pilling after working with it.

Watercolor Paper Set (A2 loose sheets) is smooth on both sides, and bright white. 50% cotton, Cold Pressed, 140lbs 300g/m this A2 sized paper works differently than the 100% cotton paper PAD. I liked how easily the pigment moves on this paper.

I just love this stamp set. It's complicated and forces one to really think about how an iris is constructed. Your coloring really highlights how complex an iris is built. Beautifully done. I have two other iris stamps and neither holds a candle to Altenew's iris. Thank you for sharing your projects. Staying home, crafting and staying safe. Stay safe :)
