Altenew February 2021 Watercolor Coloring Book & Watercolor Brushes Release Blog Hop

Some days I feel like watercoloring, yet don't want to get my stamps out and wait for the ink to dry ect. So this new Watercolor Coloring Book from Altenew is just the ticket!
I remember an IGstories post from Tasnim, over a year ago, where she was playing with floral images on her Ipad or some sort, and I asked if it was for a coloring book :) Tiny hints of what you would like to see in the Altenew product line is a great way of potentially making it happen.
This Coloring book is cleverly designed with many of my favorite floral images!

I'm thrilled to be part of the Watercolor Coloring Book & Watercolor Brushes Release Blog Hop! The full Blog Hop List is at the end of this post.

Take a look at the new
Watercoloring just got a whole lot more fun! Make way for a brand-new, specially-designed Altenew original product - our Watercolor Coloring Book. Recognize the florals? Here is my first project using a Black lined image page from the new Coloring Book and Watercolor Brush Refills along with Artists' Watercolor Round Brushes

After the messy watercoloring was thoroughly dry, I took the Brush Fine Liner pen and added more doodle lines to the image. I simply retraced and double lined some petals and leaves for a whimsical look. Trimmed the panel down and mounted it onto a stenciled A2 cardbase.

Featuring:

Are you an avid or aspiring watercoloring artist? If so, you will love this fresh, high-quality set of round watercolor brushes. Our Artists' Watercolor Brushes come in a variety of sizes to suit all of your needs. They will allow you to try out a variety of watercoloring techniques, from background washes to fine detail work. These elegant and beautiful brushes feature synthetic squirrel/sable hair and black birch wood handles accented by a black metal ferrule. This set includes four round brushes in sizes 1, 2, 3, and 4, and a size 18 flat brush. The brushes come in a specially designed black cloth container to encase the brushes safely and elegantly in your craft room.

For the next Watercolor Coloring Book Gray outlined image page, I used the Artists' Watercolor Detailed Brushes  and Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set for a No-Line coloring look.

I left the panel untrimmed in hopes of framing it at a later time.

I had to giggle when I read "I simply retraced and double lined some petals". Simple for you! But the whimsy that resulted in combination with the bright water colors makes me want to try that too. Such a happy piece. The no line purple flowers are elegant and definitely suitable for framing. Thanks for two very different but equally inspiring pieces!
