Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Cistus Layering Die Set & Gradient Cardstock Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Craft-A-Flower: Cistus Layering Die Set
& Gradient Cardstock Bundle
: (5% discount)

Joining the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Cistus  and Gradient Cardstock Release Blog Hop today. Thanks for stopping by my stop on the hop! I have the FULL blog list at the end of this post.

Besides crafting the flower with the paper layers, I REALLY like to create stencils with the dies to ink up a one layer card. In order to have the stencil last for more than one time. With the Rose Petal Washi Tape, I placed several rows of each tape color in the collection onto card stock. Then cut each layer of the Cistus CAF and used that negative space of the stencil for inking through.
The second card, in this post, uses the CUT layers for a traditional Craft-A-Flower.

Featuring:
Blending Tool: Detail Brushes, small tool
Crisp Ink Collection: Rose Petal, Spring Bouquet
Stencil: Feathered Leaves stencil - for matting
Sentiment- Build-A-Flower: Semi-Double Chrysanthemum

Before you go, I wanted to share with you how I've started to color code the layers that stack together for the Craft-A-Flower sets.
On the Packaging cardstock that the dies are taped to, I outline each die with Artist Markers, using one color for each bloom or leaf.
***Take a look at the photos, as a photo is worth a thousand words :))
Outline dies that go together before lifting off packaging

It doesn't look pretty, but it works for me :))

****After creating with the set, I replace the dies back in their outlined spot and slip the whole thing back into the plastic sleeve the set arrived in. Everything stays nice and tidy and it's easy for me to know what die is needed for the crafted bloom and leaves.
*******

There are 4 new Gradient Cardstock collections releasing today as well.

Such lovely SPRING gradient cardstock colors!
Featuring:
Gradient Cardstock Collection: New Purple, Rose Petal, Coffee Break

I've used the two center dies of the Cistus blooms as tiny flowers for sweet floral variations to this card's arrangement.

Liked your color combinations and ideas using the die set. Was thinking of trying to use the dies to make the stencils by cutting out of thin acetate. Will see if it works. If not I will try on my Brother Scan N Cut machine.
