Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit Release Blog Hop

Hey there Friends! I'm excited to share 4 projects featuring the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Hello Beautiful kit. This is one of the prettiest collections of floral images, in my opinion! The ease of adding color with the stencils is a huge bonus. Take a look at what is in the kit:

LAYERING GUIDE

Craft Your Life Project Kit: Hello Beautiful Product Description:

There is nothing like a bouquet of flowers to bring you joy and contentment! Enjoy our Craft Your Life Project Kit, an exciting monthly package that is sure to get the creative juices flowing! Featuring a 6x8 stamp set, coordinating die set, as well as a stencil and embossing folder to fit the theme, this project kit has almost everything you need to start crafting. Just add ink and cardstock, and you'll be good to go! This kit features a gorgeous stamp set with three beautiful floral clusters. The flowers and leaves were drawn with great care, giving special attention to the folds and curves of the petals. The set includes eight messages great for everyday occasions. The kit also features FIVE coloring stencils which will allow you to color the floral clusters in two coloring layers. Furthermore, there is a matching die for each of the floral clusters and an embossing folder featuring an elaborate version of one of the floral clusters from the stamp set. Pair them together for the best results.

For this first card: I inked the flat side of the Embossing Folder with Warm Sunshine Mixed Media ink then placed a stencil on the folder and inked with Forest Glades Mixed Media ink , then ran the folder through my machine for a unique background for the 3D Blooms.
FEATURING:
Craft Your Life Project Kit: Hello Beautiful Embossing Folder
Mixed Media Inks; Warm Sunshine, Forest Glades

*******
Next I inked, colored with the stencils and die cut all the floral images in the stamp set...highlighting the center of each bloom with Gold Embossing Powder.
FEATURING:
Swiping the edges of a stenciled panel with Embossing ink and HEAT setting Rose GOLD EP creates a dreamy background for one of the Hello Beautiful images.

*******

Placing the Leafy Border Die, sold separately,  at an angle on a card front and repeat cutting gives a dainty textured background for these Hello Beautiful blooms!
*******

  • inked the flat side of the Embossing Folder
  • add splatter to the folder, wiping off excess from the floral blooms
  • Run through machine with 110lb CS
  • colored the raised images with Artist markers
  • whisked embossing ink lightly over the edges of the colored images
  • heat set ROSE GOLD EP for a glamourous gilded look
  • stamp the sentiment
Inking the background, flat side, of the embossing folder has become my favorite way of adding color and interest to an embossed panel...due to the raised images that POP into place, more and more colors can be added with each pass. This gives a scrumptious mixed media look to any piece!

These are all really, really beautiful. I don’t know what to do first when my package arrives tomorrow 😆😬. I now have so many ideas floating around in my head from this hop. I think it will have to be the dry embossing. I agree with another comment I saw, that last one should be framed……it’s definitely a work of Art.
