Altenew Sticky Essentials Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello and welcome too my stop on the Sticky Essentials Blog Hop, I'm LauraJane :) You can find the entire Altenew Adhesives Collection HERE. 

For my projects today I used the Double-sided Adhesive Sheets. However, any of the Ultra Sticky Double Sided Tapes would work with similar results.

Do you keep all those slim cut pieces of paper like I do? You can see my box of all those trimmed down edges, below, that were just to pretty to toss in the trash :) 

To start my project I sifted through the box looking for a color palette that worked well together and set the chosen ones aside. Was not surprised that I found many yellows and greens with a smattering of blues.

Next I took a full sheet, 8.25" x 11.75", of the Double-sided Adhesive Sheets and pulled back one corner of the top release paper then started to lay down the scrap strips on the sticky sheet at an angle, just for fun. 

Going for a Crazy Quilt look, I didn't pay attention to pattern on the individual strips but made sure the ends and sides butted up together smoothly and without any gaps. then trimmed anything that hung off the edge of the adhesive sheet. I continued this process until the sheet was covered entirely with paper strips. Then I cut the adhesive sheet in half on the long side. Leaving two manageable sizes to store and use on future projects.

TIP: Peel away a small area of the top release paper at a time. Otherwise, the sticky surface might get stuck to items not intended. ;) Ask me how I know! I think this UNTRA sticky could hold a house together.

Check out the results below. After a very pleasant time listening to music and piecing these together, I ended up with two full  8.25" x 11.75" sheets of scrumptious crazy quilt paper! My heart swoons over the randomness of the patterns.

For the blue sheet I started working at a 90 degree angle for visual interest on the one half of the full sheet.

There was enough left over scrap pieces left over to make one A2 sized cardfront that I actually popped a sentiment onto for a completed card :) For a bit of added texture I ran it through the die cutting machine with the Dotted Swirls Debossing Cover Die. More Quilty goodness.
