Hello Friends! Altenew is celebrating their February 2020 Stamp/Die/Stencil/Watercolors Release with a Blog Hop + Giveaway. I so excited to share what I have created with a handful of new products! The Bloghop list is at the end of this post.
As always, Altenew has something for everyone in this release. Take a look at the newest Stamp/Dies/Stencil goodies below:
Now let's get to looking at the samples I made you today!!!
First up is the Dotted Diamonds Stamp Set. I love how easy it is to create cards with Background stamps, and the Dotted Diamonds is no exception!
- I simply inked up the large Dotted Diamonds stamp with Maple Yellow Crisp ink
- gave it a quick spritz of water
- pressed 110lb Cardstock onto the inked stamp and pressed firmly over the entire surface; making sure the ink transferred to the CS
- trimmed the panel down to 3.75x5"
- quickly blended Fresh Lemon and Warm Sunshine inks around the edges, leaving a "spotlight look" in the very middle
- dabbed anti-static powder onto the cardfront
- stamped the sentiment, with Obsidian ink
- then Heat embossed with Crisp Clear Embossing Powder
- Adhere to an A2 size card base

The next stamp is the Beautiful Ornamental Bliss Stamp Set: a Multi-layered set for building ornate designs with the Crisp inks. This set has a Coordinating die, Ornamental Bliss Die Set, and is also sold as a bundle; Ornamental Bliss Stamp & Die Bundle
Creating a Blue Delft pattern was my goal on this card; reminding me of a set of china My mom had when I was a child. The layers in the set are easy to line up for proper placement. I did not use the OUTLINE image stamp for the card. But you can see how it looks on the embellishments at the sides in the photos.

This next stamp enhances a hidden treasure in the Rose Blossom Stamp Set....
Warm Hugs Stamp Set has stamps to create as I did below: Bold color blocking with small solid image stamps.They may be used alone or together to fill in the small outline image from the Rose Blossom Stamp Set

The card on the left may look familiar to you from the January 24th Release ...I didn't share too many details about it other than the INCREDIBLE stamp set that is the foundation of the card...the Coloring medium was the Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set..
Below I have a second card like the first in which I watercolor and captured in a video for you to see how Fabulous these new watercolors are!!
I used the Summer Afternoon, Warm and Cozy, Red Cosmos Artists' Watercolor pans for the watercolored cards above. These colors are dreamy, creamy and move with water SO WELL! I am a newbie to watercoloring, however, I think the blooms above look closer to a pro than my skills actually are.

This last card features the lovely Watercolor Blooms Stamp Set; A sweet set that gives the look of watercolored blooms.
After stamping the arrangement with Watercolor Blooms Stamp Set, I added a few details with the Artist Markers and stenciled the Classy Stripes to balance the blooms..using a blending brush and Sea Glass Crisp Ink.
