Day 9 – Floral and Floral Builder Stamps has been my favorite day of this OCC. Well come on...FLORAL!! what else would it be but my FAVORITE, RIGHT?
I jumped right in after oohing and ahhing over the cards by all the designers and several class mates today. Practice was called for with the two techniques I wanted to try first. Jennifer McGuire taught a cool multi- step stamping and Dawn Woleslagle shared how to get that FABULOUS look of Painted flowers and doodles.
Here are some of my practice pieces
I then set to work to make a real card
I was very pleased with the outcome...but wanted to take the dive and add some blue shadowing......
I found that a Prismacolor .03 pen was the best for the doodling. But could not bring myself to freehand leaves in the background as Dawn did in her card.....I'm a chicken and called it done.
Wplus9 Spring Blooms made up most of the arrangement, with Fresh Cut Florals and Fresh Cut Containers filling in the gaps and sentiment.
I think I would call this a Clean and Simple one layer card.

The colors in the inspiration photos helped me choose the palette.
Thanks for stopping by!
