Altenew March Release Blog Hop II + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to the Altenew March Release Blog Hop II:) I'm Thrilled and honored to be a part of this hop!  This is a HUGE release..I'm using 7 new products out of the 26 items released today.
If you are hopping along from the beginning, you should be arriving from May Park's blog. and as always if you find a broken link stop by Altenew for the correct one:) Remember there are PRIZES, so leave a comment here and on the stops on the hop!

Let's get started shall we? For my first card I used the lovely multi floral set Garden Treasure
  • I simply stamped, on Bristol smooth CS, a blooming garland of flowers from Garden Treasure using Rocky Shore crisp ink and the outlined images .
  • Then I started coloring with the ziggys
  • I re-stamped the small "stamen" images in Warm Sunshine and Caramel Toffee
  • Colored a bit more with R302 and G702 Markers from Set A
  • Then  I decided to add a blue halo/shadow around the whole thing using https://altenew.com/products/everything-will-be-okay-die-set
  • For the sentiment I brushed Sea Glass and Ocean Waves onto White CS
  • Cut Everything will be Okay die and brushed more color on after it was cut out
  • Colored the tiny heart with R302 and G702 Markers from Set A
  • Glued it into place using spray adhesive
  • Finished with a few Sequins

I wanted to keep playing with Garden Treasure so for my second card I  stamped all the layers:)) using crisp inks only. .... LOVE how this totally changes to look of the blooms! The composition is the same as the first card yet the tone and feel has become soft.

Moving on to a new set called Extra Special stamp set for my third card. There are layers to this one and sweet sentiments with varying fonts.
  •  I played with the layers of the blooms from Extra Special on white CS to create two separate backgrounds.
  • One combo was Coral Berry and Puffy Heart.  The other was Rose Quarts and Puffy Heart
  • Cut a rectangle out of the middle of each panel... one straight the other at an angle
  • Placed a piece of silver mirror paper back into the rectangular space on the lighter panel
  • Stacked the two panels together off setting them just a bit
  • Stamped the Bouquet from Extra Special in black ink
  • Then stamped the coordinating bloom layers with Rose Quarts and Puffy Heart
  • the leaves are stamped with Parrot
  • Fussy cut the bouquet out...there is a coordinating die though
  • The sentiment is heat embossed with White EP onto black CS

For my next card I used one of the cut rectangles from the background created above and Perennial Beauty stamp set. I LOVE the BIG BOLD bloom in this set:)) and layered it all onto the new Half Tone Cover Plate Die.

The next set I played with was Rain or Shine. It includes a multi step cloud and lightning...but I saw organic images to create a MARBLE background.
You can see in the photo above a bit of the marbled panel.  I used all the crips inks from Rock Collection plus Caribbean Sky. There is no need to match up the layers to make a marbled pattern... so this was PURE fun!!

For my next card:
I took the panel from above and added a bit of Orange Cream with one of the smaller cloud images from Rain or Shine. Then layered a piece of clear vellum over the top to make a "marbled counter top" :))

While I was playing with the Simple Fruits stamp set I made the next card:
STARTING with the orange..these are teh inks I used
Thanks for hanging in there with this PHOTO heavy post! I have one more card to share with you.
Because there is ALWAYS time for tea:)) I could not refuse playing with this one.
Tea Time stamp set has the sweetest images!
Simply stamped with black ink on white CS and colored with Markers from Set A. B201, B204, B313, G702, G715,R302, and R304
The three small hearts pouring from the teapot are from Garden Grow stamp set.

That's all from me today:) Thanks for looking!
The next stop on the Hop is Nicole Picadura. make sure you leave a comment here first then head over to Nicole's!
