Altenew’s 4th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway

Happy, Happy 4 years Altenew!
It has been a joy to see you grow up and become one of the Trend Setters in the papercrafting industry:))

Welcome to my stop for DAY 2 of  Altenew’s 4th Anniversary Blog Hop.
To celebrate the occasion, I wanted to create several Spring themed cards using the WINGS of HOPE stamp and die set. A lovely set of solid floral images that can be simply inked or colored in to add a personal touch.

For my first card I enjoyed lightly inking the images on white cardstock and then Coloring them in with ZIGGYS:)) Next, I cut them out with the coordinating dies and popped the blooms and branches onto a cardfront with the Our Family Frame die cut from vellum.  The sentiment is from BAF: Anemone, heat embossed in GOLD embossing powder..

In The Mood For Color is an excellent class taught by Stephanie Klauck at  ALTENEW ACADEMY. I highly recommend checking it out:)

For my next two cards, I stamped the WINGS of HOPE  with crisp inks and then doodled in a few lines. This technique, was learned in the class, BEAUTIFUL DETAILS, taught by Marika Rahtu...oh! how I miss her lovely cards and sweet nature!
**Sentiment from DAHLIA BLOOMS

**Sentiment from ORIENTAL ORCHID

Hope you enjoyed my cards today and are inspired to create something you LOVE!

Full hop order is at the end of this post. If you are hopping along, you should be arriving from My Sweet Petunia

Your next stop is the fabulous Julia AltermannWho is also teaching the newest class at ALTENEW ACADEMY. For the LOVE of COLOR! Boy, am I looking forward to participating in that:) ALL the classes at the Academy are well worth your time and $$. I've learned something new in each and every class I've taken so far. Working on my Altenew Educator Certification Program at the 2nd level:))

I love all the colors you used and how great you're coloring is. I also love your second card and those sentiments are so great! I have to say, I did not quite understand the solid images of this set before, but now I totally get it. As with most things in crafting, they're whatever I want them to be! I love seeing your very detailed and more sketchy versions. They're both so lovely. I'm definitely going to have to try this with some of my solid stamps. I feel like I'm brushing up on my "what shapes do you see in the clouds" skills! :D Thanks for sharing and helping celebrate Altenew's birthday!
