I went out on a limb creating this card:) Those 'irises' are actually BEAUTIFUL BETTAS

When I first saw this stamp set, I thought it was a floral set.. it is not..but could be... those are fish tails. Inked with Soft Orchid, Orchid Crush, Grand Fuchsia, and Plum Wine.

For my next card I used the LARGE DAHLIA 1.

This is a GORGEOUS bloom that comes in two sizes, perfect for coloring!

Practicing with alcohol markers, I played with some no-line coloring.
Then I fussy cut the Large Dahlia and leaves

That spectacular background is the newest GWP set: Toned SquaresInked with Soft Garden, Vanilla Frosted Cupcake and Beach Blonde

Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Great use of the Betta stamps. I at first thought they were a type of orchid, or even an Iris. This is such a fun stamp set. Your yellow dahlia is so realistic! I looks like one that blooms in our yard each summer. The toned squares are a wonderful background for it too. As a side note, I don't know if you are in touch with Renee, whose site I just came from, but I feel so bad as I couldn't find a way to leave a comment.
