Altenew September 2018 Washi Tape Release Blog Hop
WOO HOOO! Happy dancing with the entireSeptember 2018 Release Washi Tape Release! Feeling privileged to be on the Altenew September 2018 Washi Tape Release Blog Hop Roster and having a chance to create with some of the goodies:)) ****If you are hopping along from the beginning, you should be arriving from the ever clever, and Most talented, Norine Borys' blog. Here is a card I made mostly from Washi Tapes, before venturing to other mixed media projects!
Check out my video showing the creation of the card, start to finish:) You can watch the video below or in HD at my YouTube Channel.
************************ To make finding all my Crisp ink mini cubes easier, I added Washi tape around the edges of the storage case. Each case holds the corresponding color palette of cubes:))
I then moved on to stitching my own hand-bound notebook covered with Watercolor Nebula Washi Tape. It's such a happy place to keep my STITCHING project ideas tucked inside:)
The tiny ribbon tags on each side of the Pocket banners are washi tapes folded over onto themselves. Then stapled together and clipped on with micro clothes pins:)
Here is the list of all washi tapes used in this FUN bunting project.
I hope you enjoyed all of my projects shared today! Let me know what you would create with the new Washi Tape release. Leave me a comment below:)

I love that you showcased using the washis in more ways than on cards. I would want to be able to see them every day! Love the mini ink cube boxes covered in Washi! So pretty!
LOVE all these tapes. My favorite, I think, is the Glitter Flurries. Just because I love purple! Your projects are beautiful. I'm now going to decorate MY boring desk tools!!!
Your designs are fantastic Laura Jane! So many wonderful Washi tape colors and designs to chose from! Love the Watercolor Nebula!!!! Thanks for the inspiration and video, it is always appreciated! Have a wonderful day!
I'll bet Lucy loves that banner! I sure do. I love the first project where you used all the purple hued washi tape. It's my favorite color so I think they are my favorites. But goodness, they are all just beautiful.
Laura Jane, these are stunning projects but your flower arranging your video is so gorgeously done, it steals the show!!! The water bottle using the doily die with the gorgeous Washi was stunning as well!! Fabulous work! @jordanbev5
Give a girl some beautiful washi tape and she will go wild. I love every one of you great ideas. I never thought beyond a paper use but boy did you open my eyes. Christmas gifts here I come.
you have been truly inspired!! Fabulous projects -every one!! Thanks so much for sharing along with the giveaways. Looking forward to trying out the wide tapes especially:)
WOW!! Your card is absolutely GORGEOUS and I love, LOVE all your projects too...especially the tape dispenser and the banner!! I guess washi tape does cover everything!! Guess I better go shopping...thanks for all the inspiration!! :0)
Love, love, love all the ways you used washi tapes. Your projects are outstanding and the 3 washi tapes used on the first card is inovative with an awesome outcome.
I love it! Washi on everything! Great uses for all of them and the washi tapes are just stunning! Thanks for all the inspiration, I especially love the banner :)
AMAZING! So many beautiful uses for the new line of washi tape! You gave me some really fun and great ideas for what to try with my tape in the future! Thank you!
WOW, you really got on a roll with the washi tape - dont blame you as it is stunning. Must admit it is your water bottle that I think is the most stunning - would never have thought to have done that. Might have to try it when I get some of my own tape
Love the heat embossed washi...would not have thought it could stand up to the heat. Also love the one combining different tapes. Great inspiration. Such beautiful washi.
These washi tapes are all so amazing. The gold touch on some of them make them elegantly beautiful. These Altenew washi tapes are really unique and I love the way they have been showcased in all your wonderful projects
I just love all your projects! The card is beautiful and the tape makes all of your accessories look fun and fabulous. I would like to know if you coated the accessories with anything to keep the tape on better.
Okay...that does it! Why have I NOT been a subscriber to your blog & YT channel??? Every single one of these creations is to die for! I love what you've done with the cards...especially using three different washi's on the first one. And that water bottle??? Yikes...gotta make me one of those...but now I have to buy the die!! The little handmade notebook is adorable. And that banner? So pretty. So...you've got a new fan here :-)
May I just say... I don't think I want to hop anymore!? I just want to stay here on your blog and keep admiring everything that you made! OH.MY.WORLD! Everything is absolutely amazing. I was already blown away with the first card - I mean, how genius is the way you combined all these different washis!? And then I just kept scrolling and scrolling and... WOW... I need a break now, haha!
Thank you, Annette, for your encouragement and question. I did nothing but wipe the accessories with an alcohol wipe to make sure they were free of lint and oils. These washi tapes from Altenew stick to themselves very nicely, only a clean surface is needed!
Oh my, I would never have thought to use Washi tape on so many things! If I had some I would be boring and use it on cards, but maybe with your inspiration I could expand my horizons.
My word, you've been working your fingers to the bone! All of your examples are stunning. I love how you embellished your boxes with washi, made cards, made banners and fancied up a water bottle. Thanks for all the inspiration! You are terrific!
Laura Jane you are so imaginative... love all of your projects. I think these tapes will be a great addition to my crafting and card making arsenal. You definitely have me thinking...
I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw your combination of Glitter Flurries and Galaxy! It looks AMAZING! And then, as I kept reading, project after project of wash goodness! WOW! I loved your ideas of adding letters to the banners, so pretty! Also, I would use the wash to decorate some of these little boxes that I have! That is an AWESOME idea!
Such beautiful projects to have done with the gorgeous new tapes, is there anything left without tape now or your family to worried to go to sleep just in case you decorate them pretty with fab patterns in their bedsbeds. Some inspiring ideas thank you.
Oh my goodness!! SO many great, amazing uses for this gorgeous washi tape.....love that you shared all of this. The ideas are flowing!! Thanks for the inspiration!
This post made my day! I love your enthusiasm for washi - my mom uses washi on so many things too and this really reminds me of her. The idea to use the washi as a colour guide for the tin boxes is so clever!
What must it be like to live in your brain? It seems like creativity comes out of every pore all the time. And it's really good to know the sticking power of this washi. I have been victim to cheap washis that do not want to stay stuck, but these (as I would expect of Altenew) look more durable. I'd be interested to see a follow up of your water bottle in particular, because of the water that it will have to contend with and the intricate die cut. Thanks for sharing all your creativity with us!
Wow! You really went to town, I can imagine its hard to stop going ince you get started with these beautiful designs lol. Love all the projects you created
Thank you Annalisa! The water bottle needed a coat of Modpodge or some other sealer to help contend with constant use and contact with water. Thanks for asking!
