Happy Wednesday everyone!
After last week's card inspired by Erum, I wanted to try another :) one layer card that I colored up last night using the Flowing Butterfly Stencil from Altenew and the Artist Markers. This time the colors are loosely inspired by the photo from the January 2019 Inspiration Challenge hosted by Norine. I added stitched details with a white gel pen to mimic the quilted look.
Here's my card:
I started out on a white A2 sized panel of card stock. inked the Flowing Butterfly Stencil with a soft brush and Crisp inks. cut a quick mask to the wings and stamped the flowers from Happy Heart Stamp Set. then set to coloring with the Artist Markers. The more color I added helped increase the look of more depth. several times I thought I had gone too far and used the Colorless Blender to help mash the colors together.Supplies used:
Flowing Butterfly Stencil
Happy Heart Stamp Set
Artist Markers
Pocketful of Sunshine Mini Cube Set
Tropical Forest Mini Cube Set
Warm & Cozy Mini Cube Set
Artist Markers Colorless Blender
White Gel pen
Gold Gel Pen
Fine line Black marker
I chose to leave this without a sentiment because I'm not sure what occasion I want to use this for.
Once again I found myself struggling to add shadow to create depth and faux dimesion...but, practice makes for better coloring in the future:) The Colorless Blender helped to soften the lines a bit.
