Today I'm Guest designing with the NEW stamp company Miss Ink Stamps. I found them over on Instagram just last month, through some crafty/enabling/influencing friends there.
I'm quite taken with ALL the critters from Miss Ink Stamps! If you are a regular reader/follower of mine, you know I don't usually play with anything other than flowers, however, these sweetly drawn Bunnies spoke to me:)) and these Mice make me giggle and finally, cute Goats and puny sentiments are just toot, Toot Sweet, and fun to pass up!
Here is my card for today using the Springtime Bunnies stamp set, Springtime Banners, and Halftone Lines Bold Center Stencil.
The first thing I played with on receiving my order was the Halftone Lines Bold Center Stencil. I found that by inking color and then rotating the stencil one quarter turn then ink again, a cool gingham pattern emerges:))
It was a pleasure coloring the images from Springtime Bunnies stamp set and Springtime Banners with Ziggys , going for a No-Line coloring look.
After coloring the critters, I took a chance and used the Scan-n-Cut to cut them out...but my margin setting was off, so there is a nice mix of white/no white edges on the eggs and chicks.Having a love hate relationship with my SnC..the blades are always dull do to my kids using it so often.. I was able to get that Banner trimmed out as I wanted and stacked two layers for dimension. Hoping for a release of coordinating dies...hint, hint.
How FUN is that sentiment?!? Even my DH took notice!
I also made a quick IGTV video of how to achieve the Gingham Background. You can watch it by clicking >HERE<.
I encourage you to check out all the Goodies at Miss Ink Stamps. The stamps are high quality and I LOVE the unique stencils! Curbing my enthusiasm was very difficult when placing my first order.
And now the Free Shipping price point is $35. There are several Coffee related sets and Florals which are sure to delight:) I'll be back next week with another MissInk card for you.
