Glistening Holiday Glimmer by Becca Feeken at Spellbinders

Hello Cardmakers! I have a post filled with Christmas cards today :))
Getting a head start on holiday cards this past WCMD (World Card Making Day), I was completed 5 cards using the Glistening Holiday Glimmer by Becca Feeken collection from Spellbinders.
Glimmer plates are most often thought of as tools for HOT FOILING, however, I wanted to try FAUX LETTERPRESS inking with them instead. Jennifer McGuire has a short video tutorial sharing the steps of this technique.  I was tickled with the results and how quickly I was able to make the five cards!

Take a closer look:
These two cards have CHRISTMAS DAMASK JUBILEE GLIMMER HOT FOIL PLATE  inked with Cloudy Sky and Slate Dye ink from Simon Says Stamp. All pattern papers and Die-cut shapes are from the Spellbinders October Card Kit of the Month

The next three cards feature the MERRY FILIGREE QUATREFOIL GLIMMER HOT FOIL PLATE. I LOOOOOVE the delicate Filigree in this plate..and teh Circle MERRY plate has so many possibilities!
The stamp set in the October Card Kit of the Month has the sweetest pine branches for simple stamping.

My husband said he really liked this set of cards when saw them. He said they have a vintage, old Victorian vibe...the Glimmer plates add to that vibe as well as the color pallete from October Card Kit of the Month.  I hope you are inspired to create something you LOVE today:))
