Altenew Color Therapy Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello Coloring fans!! Here to share a card I colored using Stencils and Stamps from Altenew for the Color Therapy Blog Hop + Giveaway.
I try to have something to color while on the phone with my Dad. After nearly 3 years,  I miss the daily chats with Mom before she moved on to the Otherside., and coloring is good therapy for the journey of grief. Getting lost in the craft of coloring is easy with all the different choices of media found in the Coloring Collection.

To start this card I took the Greenwood Flowers Stencil Set and inked a couple of flowers and leaves in the center of an A2 card front. Then I hand drew a few "planks" of wood with the Fineliner pens, and quickly stamped a few feathery leaves behind all that. Then I set to coloring with Alcohol Markers and detailing with WHITE Gel Pen.

I love how coloring with stenciks alows me to create one-of a kind projects.

FEATURING:

Enjoy the rest of the hop.
Your next stop is to my friend Colleen Balija :)

Love the colors on this! Color therapy is good! I recently had hip replacement surgery and my husband died at the same time. I found that coloring in my Altenew Water Color Book and drawing and coloring in sketchbooks with colored pencils and watercolor pencils helped to fill my day in a positive way!

Absolutely beautiful design and coloring on your card Laura! Love, love those colors! Great idea using a stencil along with your markers! I love your hand drawn wood planks! That really adds your own personal touch to this gorgeous art! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and inspiration!

I agree with you -- coloring is great therapy. I'm going through some stressful times currently as my daughter-in-law was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. When I'm not watching her two small children I try to spend as much time as possible in my craft room -- it soothes me and I feel so much better.

Such a beautiful card, Laura Jane! Coloring is, indeed, good therapy and helps de-stress me in difficult times.

Beautiful card! I do like stamping cards, but find that I get the most joy out of coloring the flowers myself be it colored pencils, Artist Markers or trying to water color. You get lost in the process. It has helped me get through the last 5 stressful years.

Very pretty. I love to color. It puts me into a meditative state. Probably why I have more colored flowers than cards.
