Altenew July 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway and VIDEO

Hello cardmaking Friends!
I'm honored to be participating in the blog hop celebrating the July 2019 release  at Altenew! If you are hopping along from the beginning you should be arriving from the talented Jeanne Jachna. Don't worry, there is a full list at the end of this post :)
As always, Altenew has a release filled with beautiful flower stamps and dies  I'm giddy over the FRAME Dies too! Plus a new Stamping Mat!!

I've created eight cards for today's post featuring just a handful of new items from the release. All new products are listed under the photos for easy reference and shopping...which include affiliate links at no extra cost to you.

Here are the first three cards with Bright Blossoms stamps and dies.
To make this first card

I share how easy it can be to add extra detail coloring to the simple Bright Blossoms in a video  as I created it.

To make this card:
  • Stamp the large Bright Blossoms blooms in Pink Diamond and Rubelilte
  • Stamp solid Leaves with Sea Glass
  • Stamp tiny Bright Blossoms blooms with Buttercream
  • Color with  Artist Markers: C001, B802, B201, Y204, R603
  • Stamp leaf veins with Volcano Lake
  • Stamp the stamen with Cosmic berry
  • add yellow dots with Y514
  • Stamp sentiment with Obsidian Pigment Ink
  • Stamp 'shine' with Chamomile  and Snapdragon
  • Add black fineliner pen to the word shine to make it stand out more
  • repeat stamp dots from Bright Blossoms with Pink Diamond

For this card I stamped and used the coordinating dies to cut out the Bright Blossoms for a pretty arrangement for the lovely Sweet Frame stamped with Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink all arranged onto a piece of Pattern paper from Celebrations 6x6 Paper Pack inked with a blending brush and edged with the Enchanted Gold too:))
 *******

I really like the variety floral shapes and leaf/branches in this set!
Crisp Inks: Warm Sunshine, Pink Pearl, Coral Berry, Frayed Leaf, Sea Glass, Sea Breeze, Turquoise
*******
The possibilities are endless for building clusters of Blooms for any project. Adding several different Geometric Frames gives a modern vibe to a classic stamping concept.
Supplies used:
Crisp Inks: Warm Sunshine, Pink Pearl, Coral Berry, Frayed Leaf, Sea Glass, Sea Breeze, Turquoise
*******
My final group of cards feature my favorite stamp set from this release...Pen Sketched Flowers Stamp Set and Pen Sketched Flowers Die Set. The die set will be released 8/8

Since the #thedailymarker30Day Coloring challenge with Kathy Raccoosin is going on, I sat down with Pen Sketched Flowers set and just a few colors of Artist Markers and enjoyed some colortherapy time:))

After stamping the images from Pen Sketched Flowers with Antique Gold Pigment Ink it was easy to color and add shading where the pen strokes indicate shadows, making this a stamp set one that looks like you spent a ton of time coloring but you didn't. Sometimes a little time is all you have!
The coordinating dies, which will be released on the 8th of this month do to a design hiccup ,  makes for quick cutting. The die set sent to me was actually reversed to the stamp images, insert hiccup, but I was able to place the die on the backside of the colored image and quickly cut them out just the same.
I then layered the pretty blooms and branches over a Floral Heart Frame Die cut from Pastel Dreams 6x6 paper pack and placed on top of a piece from Celebrations 6x6 Paper Pack for the background.

I went for a one layer card for this one, again stamping the flowers with Antique Gold Pigment Ink and coloring with the Artist Markers. Then I masked the colored blooms and blended some color on with a blending brush and flicked a few splatters for a nice background. to embellish this card a sweet blue Butterfly Acetate Die cut landed on the edge of one of the petals:))

Artist Markers  G702, G715, G825, C001, Y204, Y911, R400, R206, R302, R304
Crisp Inks: Frosty Pink, Coral Berry,Buttercream, Warm Sunshine
*******
Stamping an all-over pattern for this last card with Antique Gold Pigment Ink  and colored with Artist Markers, ended up being my most favorite card for today! The frame from Crystal Frames Die Set is inked with Antique Gold Pigment Ink as well after cutting.. Not wanting to cover the background tooo much, I chose vellum paper for the sentiment and placed it in the center. I then embellished with a scrap paper strip from Celebrations 6x6 Paper Pack and a bit of  Dots in Maple Washi Tape..stitched over those for added texture balance and found a butterfly to sit in the corner of the frame.

*******
That is all that I have for you today. Thank you for hanging out to the end! I hope you liked what I created as much as I LOVED creating them!!

Take a look at the entire new release Below:

I REALLY enjoyed  using the new WHITE stamping mat!! I like the grid lines and the non slip grip. It has the perfect texture for crisp image stamping every time. I was disappointed with the staining that occurred with the red based inks...but this is common across the board with all similar products on the market. When I use ink on the mat, I keep the reds in a top corner, so I have a nice white mat for my videos.
Stamping Mat
Stamping Mat Description:
The silicone grid mat is great for stamping, watercolor, ink blending, heat embossing, and everyday crafting! The mat features inches as well as metric measurements on the edges and a half inch grid. Due to the nature of the silicone surface, some grid lines have slight imperfections and are not completely straight. This will not affect the quality or functionality of the mat.
  • Material: Silicone
  • Color: White
  • Size: 12"x16"
  • Surface: One side printed with grid, one side non-slip
  • Heat Resistant
EXTRA details that may be helpful:
  • This is NOT a cutting mat
  • Red based inks will stain the mat slightly
  • Most water-based inks wipe clean with a spritz of water and cloth
  • Perfect for filming Vertical videos, (portrait mode) for IG, no-glare
  • Rolls up for easy storage
There are generous prizes!!!
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 7/18/2019 for a chance to win.
