Altenew October 2019 Metallic Watercolor Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway + 2 Video

Hello Friends!

I'm super excited to have had the chance to create with the new Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set at ALTENEW! After seeing a sneak peak of the set at Creativation 2019 I have been patiently waiting for the release.
This is part of the Blog Hop celebrating the new Metallic Watercolors. If you are hopping from the beginning you should be arriving from the blog of Nathalie DeSousa! I can't wait to see all the inspiration with this new product:))

As you will see the Shimmer and Glimmer in the watercolors is AH-MAZING!! I love the subtle hint of sparkle and these are PERFECT FOR making SPLATTERS to finish any card with that kiss of metallic shine! All 14 colors look great on dark cardstock as well as regular watercolor paper.

Let's get to my projects:

The first card is simply stamped with the Happy Pomegranate stamp set with Warm Sunshine Crisp ink. I wanted to get to know these Metallic colors and how they moved on paper for no-line coloring..The end result was thrilling!

The Metallic shimmer is difficult to capture in a photo..but it's stunning!

JUST FOR YOU...Featuring:
METALLIC watercolor 14 pan set HAPPY POMEGRANATE stamp set Specialty card stock
I have a VIDEO below and on Youtube of the process from start to almost finish. I realized that the top bloom thingy is not green as after turning off the camera and went back in to make it more botanically correct:) and added some deep shadows with the Jet Black found in the regular 36 Pan set.

Watch the VIDEO here:

The next cards were so fun to create! If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my STRING PULLING videos HERE, HERE and HERE...well these METALLIC watercolors work perfectly for this whimsical technique! So excited about how they look on the black card stock:)))

MISS YOU...Featuring:
METALLIC watercolor 14 pan set
Miss You word die
Essential Black & White 6x6 Paper Pack

Once I get going with the String pulling art, it's difficult to stop. For this one, I fussy cut the STRING ART plume and layered it onto panel of  Washi tape. Then dyed a ribbon to coordinate using the watercolor brush markers.
RELAX...Featuring:
METALLIC watercolor 14 pan set
Galaxy Washi Tape
Watercolor Brush Markers, to dye the seam tape ribbon
Essential Black & White 6x6 Paper Pack
Chipboard Sticker

And this final one is simply matted and layered with a few Die-cut embellishments.
HI...Featuring:
METALLIC watercolor 14 pan set
Shattered Triangle Die Set

Holy cow, those colours on the black card stock are AWESOME Ms. LauraJane! I do love your first card the best as it has more petals on it but you're right - there's something addictive about just watching you do your string art, so I can't wait to see how it'll be when I try it for myself. All three cards are just SOO beautiful. Definitely a must have for my stash.
