Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Carnations Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

New Paint-A-Flower stamp set is in the shop at Altenew.....WELCOME the PAF: Carnations Outline Stamp Set! A very simple outline of three carnations blooms. I love the whimsical movement of the stems: as if they are dancing in the wind.

Take a look at my two cards featuring the new Paint-A-Flower: Carnations Outline Stamp Set

For this one:
  • I stamped the Carnations with Antique Gold Pigment Ink onto white cardstock
  • Colored with Artist Markers
  • Then softly inked a halo of Sunkist Crisp ink around them making sure to leave a highlight of white in the center of the arrangement.
  • Next I cut the Circled Greetings: Love Die from a white cardfront dry embossed with the Feeling Dotty Stencil
  • With a tiny bit of fussy cutting on two of the blooms I was able to have the Carnations spilling out over the top of the LOVE CIRCLE.
  • For the final touch, I stamped the sentiment 'YAY' from the stamp set and fussy cut it to say 'Ya'
  • Adehered it to the circle for a bit more whimsy

*******

Carnations make me think of celebrations! SO for this next card I repeat stamped the Paint-A-Flower: Carnations Outline Stamp Set and loosely/messily watercolored them with Watercolor Brush Markers.

Oh my gosh, as much as I loved the detailed beauty of the first card, the second one took my breath away! It could be a framed painting with its loose look and elegant beauty. Thank you!
